Hello and welcome!
Glad you’re here.
A lot of big things happening in Papillion this week. Let’s take a look!
Fall Cleanup Days returns, Oct 19-25
It’s finally time to say goodbye to that pile of junk that’s been sitting in my garage for the last few months.
Papillion and La Vista are co-hosting Fall Cleanup Days at 99th Circle and Portal Road, on the south side of Portal just east of the Papillion Public Works facility, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day from Monday the 19th through Sunday the 25th.
Bring a copy of your water bill or another ID to prove you're a Papillion resident, a Papillion water customer or a La Vista resident. It's free, rain or shine, residential loads only, and no commercial or business vehicles. Staff won't help you unload, and there are no porta-potties on site.
They'll take furniture, mattresses and box springs, major appliances, grills and smokers, construction materials including concrete, auto parts and batteries, bikes, broken play structures, tree limbs and yard waste emptied out of the bags, plus every type of TV and CRT monitor. Midwest Electronic Recycling handles computers, printers, cables, phones and small appliances in its own area, and will destroy hard drives on request.
No tires, railroad ties, motor oil, paint or chemicals. Document shredding is Saturday the 24th only, 7 a.m. to noon across the street at La Vista Public Works, ten file boxes per household and nothing with binder clips.
Numbers put on new development at 72nd and Cederdale

Based on the Bellino’s other developments, there was an idea what was going into those lots near 72nd and Cederdale but now we have some more accurate estimates.
This info came via a PLVCS staff report. It put the numbers at 800 apartments in 10 buildings. At 66th and Cedardale, the Trumble Hills Development, it put the number at 235 lots, about 70 of them townhome size and 165 larger.
Both are in the grading stage, and the report says building isn't expected to start until 2027 or later. A third piece, about 200 acres across three parcels north of Highway 370 and west of 48th Street has no development plans submitted.
Friday Night Bites at Papillion Landing Friday

Play some games and grab yourself some food this Friday!
Friday Night Bites runs this Friday the 16th from 5 to 8 PM at Papillion Landing, with food trucks, music and games. The city lists it as a free event, so there's nothing to register for and nothing to pay at the door. So, if you need something to do for dinner tomorrow, head over to Papillion Landing and check it out.
